The Da Vinci Code was a really good book, opened up many eyes, and the movie is coming out SOON! But why Tom Hanks WHY?

its a nice fictional book, but none of it is real, if you seriously look at the evidence all of their arguments are totally non-existent.

I really liked it, and I could care less about whether all the facts were right or not. I enjoyed it and that was it

You're right, it should have been Mel Gibson. Man I loved Mel Gibson in Starwars.

I really enjoy Dan Brown's books... I take them as ficiton because as someone mentioned there is no historical proof for any of that. But it really really is a good read. My hubby Serafita Kayin should come and discuss this... he loves topics like this. Dood ya know my stance... and I respect yours... I miss ya Dahlin!

Not to mention that he's just rehashing what's been written before, just repackaged for a new generation under the guise of it being 'based on facts'. (cf Holy Blood, Holy Grail)

Wheel of Time ftw.

Yes, Angels and Demons was much better than the Da Vinci Code. If you like Dan Brown, try Daniel Silva. He's another writer along the lines of religous fiction.

Why would Mel Gibson do this movie?

lol, I read Angels and Demons, and The Da Vinci Code. Both were good. Like many have said before however, it really is fiction without much to substantiate the books claims. But, it is a very entertaining to say the least.

The only thing wrong with Tom Hanks in the upcoming movie is.. his flippin HAIR.

Just.. wow...

I'm nearly done reading the book and I find it interesting, although frankly I don't consider it a can't-put-down page-turner the way some of the other novels I've read are. Like I haven't read it in weeks and I don't really feel a desire to pick it up anytime soon, though I'll prolly finish it just before the movie comes out.

The movie looks good, though. Anything with Sir Ian in it makes me happy. Go Gandalf!
